Versatility for the OEM Designer

KNF's experience with established designs, materials and motors permits us to "optimize" standard pumps to fit your exact specifications. For example, you may require an electropolish wetted surface for a sensitive analyzer project, or a micropump fitted with a low-current motor for your portable instrument.

Liquid pumps
KNF liquid  diaphragm pumps are very chemical resistant. They are divided into two main categories: Liquid Micro OEM Pumps and Liquid OEM Metering Pumps. We also have Liquid Pump Accessories.

Advantages of KNF diaphragm liquid pumps
- Maintenance free and long life adds to your product reliability
- Self priming and ability to run dry without damage
- Stable flowrate over long time periods for more accurate instrument performance
- Good chemical resistance avoids excessive pump maintenance

Replaces peristaltic pumps
- No messy peristaltic tubing failure to worry about as KNF uses no tubing
- Not affected by tubing fatigue which changes resultant pump volume over time
- Smaller, more powerful than peristaltic pumps.
- Put the KNF liquid pump on location, where you need it, not on the floor

The following pages show our standard product range. Over 80% of our pumps are project pumps which are made specifically to the requirements of our customers so in case you can't find "your" pump don't hesitate to get in touch with our specialists who will be able to create a pump to fit your needs. Creating tailor made solutions is a KNF specialty.

Why KNF Pumps are Better

KNF pioneered in the design of advanced diaphragms. The first diaphragms were simple circular, flat sheets of an elastomer with a hole punched in the center. The diaphragm was clamped around the edges between the pump head and the housing, and fastened to the oscillating connecting rod in the center with a metal clamping disk. Pumping action occurred as the diaphragm moved within the pump chamber. Clearance is machined into the pump head to accommodate the bulky clamping disk. This increases unproductive dead volume, reducing achievable end vacuum.

Molded Diaphragm

KNF engineers molded a threaded metal stud into the diaphragm body, which eliminated the bulky clamping disk. Gone was an occasional source of leaks and corrosion. The diaphragm, smooth across and pliable, now fits closer to the pump head. This drastically reduces dead volume, and as a result, improves maximum vacuum.
